Newest collection that has crossed our path at the auction house is a collection of 400 miniature liquor bottles. The bottles were collected over a period of about 45 years. Some of the bottles were evaporating a bit, but all were sealed and unopened. What a statement of control! The gentleman who collected them was about 93 when we received them to sell. Needless to say, some were very old. Would I drink any of those bottles? Hummm
The importance is in the collectible value of those little bottles. On Ebay, some of the old whiskies sell for over $100. Other bottles are not worth more than a dollar or two.
